Links and Resources

I am constantly updating this list – if you have a suggestion, comment, or wish to report a broken link, do let me know.

Organisations

Foundation for Inner Peace (FIP)
The original organization for publishing and distribution of ACIM, founded by Judith and Robert Skutch. Lots of stuff here. Shop at the online store, read about translations into different languages or access the Workbook online.

Foundation for A Course in Miracles (FACIM)
Located in Temecula, California, FACIM is a teaching institute for A Course in Miracles, founded by Kenneth and Gloria Wapnick. If there is a place for serious students to learn about ACIM, this is it. The depth and clarity to which the Course is explained by Dr. Wapnick is unsurpassed. They publish an excellent newsletter: The Lighthouse, and have a large amount of learning material online, including a very useful Glossary (Click on ‘Online Learning Aids’)

Miracle Distribution Center
‘Founded in 1978, the Miracle Distribution Center serves as a worldwide educational, networking and contact center for A Course in Miracles.’ Has the most comprehensive directory of Study Groups around the world. (to my knowledge)

Miracle Network UK
The Miracle Network UK, run by Ian Patrick, is a UK-Registered Charity and an active point of contact for ACIM students in the UK and Europe, organising events and workshops in the UK. They carry a wide range of ACIM books, CDs and other materials, and publish a bi-monthly magazine, ‘Miracle Worker’. If you are looking for a book by Dr. Kenneth Wapnick in Europe, they are probably your best bet. I volunteer at the Miracle Network occasionally!

Miracles Center US
These guys run an online ACIM group on PalTalk, an online chatroom that allows for voice chatting. It’s pretty cool – check it out! But the best thing is the large archive of recorded interviews with prominent ACIM teachers – quality ACIM material, all free!

Authors

Gary Renard
Author of ‘The Disappearance of the Universe’ (DU) and ‘Your Immortal Reality’. DU was THE book that really got me started on my journey with ACIM. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is probably the most important book I have ever read, apart from the Course itself. I don’t know if the 2 ‘Ascended Masters’, Arten and Pursah really did appear to Gary, and to be honest, neither is it a big concern for me. For me, it is the way in which the metaphysics of ACIM are so clearly, coherently and comprehensively explained, in plain English, that makes DU a masterpiece of spiritual literature. It also happens to be quite funny. :)

Jerry Jampolsky
Jerry Jampolsky is the author of the classic bestseller, ‘Love is Letting Go of Fear’. For over three decades, this little book has changed the lives and attitudes of many. I love this book! While it is not, strictly speaking, a book about ACIM, the principles of Attitudinal Healing are derived from the Course. The language is secular (ie. no Jesus-speak :) ) and there are lots of lovely illustrations. I give this book to friends whom I know would have tremendous resistance to Christian terminology.

Nouk Sanchez and Tomas Viera
Take Me to Truth is a clear and structured, exposé on the workings of the ego and how to undo it – using various tools such as Byron Katie’s ‘The Work’ and the Enneagram. Highly recommended.

Fearless Books
Patrick Miller runs Fearless Books, the original publisher of ‘The Disappearance of the Universe’. The author of ‘Understanding A Course in Miracles’ (amongst many other books), he is well-researched, clear and balanced in his writing. A good book for those who prefer a more objective starting point in their spiritual exploration.

Alexander Marchand
Alex is a graphic artist and author of the first ACIM graphic novel ever: The Universe Is a Dream. The very first time I saw the symbols as used in the novel, I knew its source was genuinely inspired. Very readable, entertaining and informative. Ideal for an introduction of ACIM’s principles to a younger audience and also for the visually-oriented. Alex is also the artist behind the icon for ACIMExplained’s very own forgiveness lightbulb!

Jan Frazier
Jan Frazier is the author of ‘When Fear Falls Away’ – a personal account of how she, a 50 year old, middle-class, well-educated mother of two, underwent a radical transformation of consciousness in which she ceased to struggle against life and found a state of causeless joy. An amazing book, not just because of her experiences, but also because she is a skillful writer. Highly recommended.

Byron Katie
Byron Katie is an American speaker and author of ‘Loving What Is’. She teaches a method of self-inquiry which is simply called ‘The Work’ – a 4 stage process which has many similarities to the forgiveness process as per ACIM principles. I have personally benefited a lot from her methods: it works, and it works really well. It requires no background or belief – just do the worksheet! It’s free, it’s online, go do it!

Jon Mundy, Ph.D.
Jon Mundy is a lecturer, minister and author of several books, including ‘Missorui Mystic’ – his autobiography describing his experiences as a spiritual seeker. Deeply personal, compelling and riveting – I couldn’t put it down and read through the book in 2 days. In many ways, his book encouraged me to write about my personal experiences in my searching (and finding). He is also the editor of ‘Miracles Magazine’.

Other Resources

ACIM Archives
Created by FIP and FACIM, this archival site hosts historical information about the scribing, editing and evolution of the Course; also autobiographies of its scribes, Helen Schucman and William Thetford. Excellent for anyone interested in the origins of the Course.

ACIM Question and Answer Service, by FACIM
If you have a question about ACIM, chances are, it has been asked before. :) This site hosts over 1,400 Q&As in a topical and searchable format. Some of the answers are a bit abstract and do require some Course background though.

Miracle Studies
Created by Dr. Joseph Jesseph, psychologist and author of ‘A Primer of Psychology According to A Course in Miracles’, this website is yet another excellent resource about ACIM.

Australian Centre for Inner Peace
Michael Dawson is the author of several ACIM books and articles, and runs ACIM workshops in Australia. He has also written some excellent articles on other non-dualistic paths – Advaita Vedanta, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ramana Maharshi, and Buddhism.

Community Miracles Center (CMC)

CMC was formed in San Francisco, CA in 1987. It’s web site serves the worldwide A Course In Miracles community. CMC hosts large international ACIM conferences in San Francisco and other cities. CMC sells the largest and most diverse collection of ACIM literature available anywhere through its web site. There is also an ACIM study group directory, an On-Line Discussion group, a comprehensive web links page, numerous in-depth ACIM articles, and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. CMC publishes a printed journal named Miracles Monthly and distributes the CMC Ezine via email. Locally the CMC has Sunday Service, classes, and numerous Fellowship activities.

Craig Villarrubia

Craig Villarrubia is a speaker, student and teacher of A Course In Miracles. As a result of deep study with the course Craig experienced what he describes as an ephemeral shift in identification from ego to Oneness. This awakening inspired him to share his message. Based out of Los Angeles, his website Discover a Peace of Joy is an ACIM resource for spiritual growth. Here you’ll find FREE resources such as video posts, articles and podcasts that offer insight to enlightenment and the teachings of A Course In Miracles.

Blogs

The Remembered Song
Jamie Romkey is a dedicated student of the Course and of Ken Wapnick – his blog (formerly ACIM Monk) has been around for a long time and is an excellent resource. He also offers ACIM-based counselling.

  • Camille says:

    Hi Ken,
Do you know of any teaching material for children?

    • Hi Camille,

Yes! These titles might be relevant to you (I have seen them around, not read them though):

      The Children's Material
      Bette Jean Cundiff

The Sunbeam and the Wave (Weewisdom Books)
      Harriet Elizabeth Hamilton, Connie Bowen

Tiger-Tiger, Is It True?: Four Questions to Make You Smile Again
      Byron Katie, Hans Wilhelm

The first two are definitely ACIM-inspired / themed, and the latter is based around Byron Katie's work – which is definitely very ACIMish..

      Hope it helps!

      Blessings
      Ken

I came across your website today and would really like to be a part of your community. • kenbok says:

Thank you. I’ve never been guided to read any version of the Course other than the one published by the Foundation for Inner Peace, but perhaps some will find it helpful. Peace, Ken

      • Child of God says:

i could not help but smile at your answer Ken. You do not see this as a gentle ‘nudge’ :-) …smiles.

But that is besides the point, I included the links because you asked for for them at the top of your site: re: “I am constantly updating this list – if you have a suggestion, comment, or wish to report a broken link, do let me know.”

The links are but a suggestion for you to do with as you see fit.

        Thank you Ken.
…and Blessings for all your work.

There is no time, no place, no state where God is absent. There is NOTHING to be feared. – (acim – The Awakening)
